Let's Start Training!!

We can accept foreigners and tourists. There are some foreigners in our gym. Let's start training with us.

We have two kinds of lessons. One is class lessnon and the other is free training. Both lessons are taken by Japanese. There are two trainers who can understand English.

Class lessons are geared toward beginners and intermediate students. You train as a group along with other students. For example, we’d start with warm-up, go over certain basic techniques, then shift to mitt or sandbag work then partner exercise (light sparring) and end with fitness exercise.

Individual lessons are geared toward intermediate and advanced students. The student trains highly autonomously with the support of the trainer. For example, the student would warm-up (e.g. jump rope), shadow box, work on the sandbag, mitt work with the instructor, technical sparring (if an opponent of similar level is in attendance), then end with conditioning and/or weight training (e.g. we have up to 130kg of bench weights).

Important !!

-       [Consult a physician] If you have any doubt or uncertainty about your health/fitness to engage in combat sport training (which may include intensive exercises), it is your responsibility to consult a physician *before* you join the gym to ensure it’s safe for you to train combat sport. -

[Caution/communicate] Please follow the instructions of the trainers. Please notify the trainers of any injuries or health issues you may be having on that day. You should obviously avoid or limit accordingly your training if you are injured or sick. Unless it’s something very minor, better rest out, and come back fresh!
-

[Language] Not all our staff members at the gym are fluent in English. While we’ll try our best to communicate in English, please bear in mind that Japanese is our main language of communication. If you feel unsure about our offer, response, or understanding due to the difference in language, please find a way to resolve the doubt (e.g. get the help of a bilingual friend) before you, for example, become a member.

-       [Risk awareness] While we will do our best to avoid injuries, combat sport (as any sports) has its risks, and we obviously can’t control everything. You need to be fully aware of the risks involved in training (e.g. especially when you engage in partner training, or sparring). Please be attentive to the people and object around you, use equipment which will best protect you (e.g. mouth piece, etc.), and strive to train as safely as possible at all time. You are the ultimate guarantor of your own safety and health. -

[Equipment] Bring your training wear (t-shirt, short-pants), towel, and drink (remember to hydrate!). If you wish to train with others, you should also get a mouth piece. We provide some gloves and shin guards. While we keep them as clean as possible, we recommend you obtain your own if you wish to further avoid hygienic risks.
-

[Fighters] Fighters (supposedly professional) already part of another gym (and/or already under a promotional contract) are responsible for ensuring their gym (or promotion) of origin has no problem regarding you training or joining our gym.

For tourists ↓

For those of you staying in Japan only for a fairly short period, we provide either one-time tickets or a set of 10 tickets each enabling you to train once per day with us. The latter can be used by several “visitors”.
